Commonwealth Games 2018 – Indian Men Hockey Team Defeated England 4 -3

The Indian Men’s Hockey team defeated England 4-3 in their final Pool B match at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on Wednesday and reached semi-final. After this glorious win Indian Men Hockey team got 10 points that are more than the no. 2 ranked England.

The Indian Hockey team scored two goals in the final three minutes to beat England 4-3 in a thrilling match. Mandeep Singh found the winner when he deflected a cross from the right into the goal with just half a second left for the final hooter. But the Indians were not willing to give up and pounded the opposition goal with moves from both flanks. Manpreet Singh, Varun Kumar, Rupinder Pal Singh, Mandeep Singh played well for India.

The win, India’s third in a row after a draw against Pakistan in the opening encounter, took them to a total of 10 points and ensured that they avoided defending champions Australia in the semi-finals.
