India vs Ireland Quarter Final. India lost 1-3 in the tie-breaker against Ireland. Ireland reached semi-final. But while it was a historic joy for the Irish, tears of disappointment in the Eyes of Indian fans. Check Highlights here:

Quarter 1: First quarter started and All-out attacking start by the Irish. Good work by Navjot kaur she tried to hold the ball for India. Sunita Lakra plays the ball wide, to stretch the Irish defence. Ireland was the stronger side in the first quarter. Free hit for the Ireland,but failed. India worked hard to impose a threat on Ireland. Ireland back the possession. India built one final attack but fails and the score was 0 till the end of the first quarter.

Quarter 2: Brilliant interception from Ireland at the beginning of the second quarter. India was looking to break on the attack. Neha Goyal got green card and stretched Irish efforts. Rani Rampal’s shot goes wide and missed the chance for India. At the end of second quarter both teams were still 0.

Quarter 3: Ireland gets the second-half underway. Wilson plays the ball wide to the right but good defence by Indian side and no penalty corner. Nicola Evans penalised inside the circle, she looked well in possession to hit the ball inside the posts but fails. Free hit for Ireland. India got a chance to break on the counter but failed and at the end, India or Ireland both were at 0.

Quarter 4: Fourth quarter started. Wilson guides the ball on the right wing for the Irish but good defence by India. Penalty corner for India but good save by Irish goalkeeper McFerran. Vandana asked for a referral as she feels she was pushed, But umpire rules it in favour of the Irish side. Ireland to go first in the shoot-out. India Ireland both were at 0 at the end of the fourth quarter.

Shoot-out to follow and Ireland to go first in the shoot-out. Nicola Daily missed it. Monika ran out of time. Goal by Upton Roisin and lead for Ireland. Another Goal by Meeke Alison and Ireland at 2. Goal for India and Ireland – India were 2 – 1. GOAL! Ireland wins 3-1 in the shoot-out, to book themselves a semi-final berth. Heart-break for the India fans.

India beat Italy by 3-0 and qualify for Quarter final

Ray of joy for Indian Hockey Lover’s as India Women Hockey team crushed Italy by 3-0 and reached quarter Final. World No 10 India produced a good all-round display. Check the highlights below:

Quarter 1: With the whistle from referee first quarter begins and Indian queens looked aggressive from the start and dominate the ball in the opening minutes. First Penalty corner for the India and Goal!! Lalremsiami nets the ball inside Italian circle. Italian team worked hard to equalize the score but good defence by Indian queens and at the end of first quarter IND 1 – 0.

Quarter 2 : Second Quarter started and dominating start by the Indian team. They looked for the second goal but missed the chance as Udita misses a simple chance and fails to collect the ball inside Italian circle. India continues to attack but at the end of the second quarter, score was 1 -0.

Quarter 3: Third quarter started, good start by Italy as they were desperate to equalize the score but good defence by Indian queens. Penalty corner for India after video referral but missed. Green card for Sunita Lakra from the umpire. Penalty corner for India, Powerful stroke from Rani but Italian defenders clear the ball with ease. Penalty corner again and Goal!!. At the end of the third quarter score 2 -0.

Quarter 4: At the beginning of final quarter India lead by 2 – 0.Penalty corner for Italy in the opening minutes of the final quarter but good save from Savita and cleared with ease by Deepika. Penalty corner for India with just over 6 minutes remained. Goal!!. Final Whistle from the referee and the final score was 3 – 0. India won the match.

India wins 3-0 against Italy and qualifies for the quarter final. Will meet Ireland on Thursday.

At the beginning of India Vs Ireland Women Hockey World cup match, Indian queens were full of excitement but the Ireland women vanish all their hopes and beat India 0 – 1. Check the highlights here:

Quarter 1: In the opening minutes of the game Indian queens attacked brilliantly. Penalty corner for India but missed it. Gurjit’s efforts were great Hunnah Mathews clear the ball easily. Both teams were goal-less, penalty corner for Ireland and Goal!!. Ireland took lead at the end of the first quarter score was 1 -0.

Quarter 2: At the beginning of second of quarter Sunita Lakra gets a green card. Third for India so far in the tournament. Penalty corner for Ireland. Good defense by Indian Team. Another penalty corner for Ireland and Indian queens were under pressure. But the sign of relieve and got penalty corner but fails. At the end of second quarter India were still struggling for 1 goal.

Quarter 3: Kathryn Mullan got green card from the referee. Indian Queens were more aggressive in quarter three but good defense by Irish women. Penalty corner for India, but good save from Irish Goalkeeper Ayeisha McFerran. Just under two minutes India Penalty corner but missed.

Quarter 4: Game moving relatively slow for India side. Penalty corner for India but saved easily by Ireland. Another missed opportunity for India. India was still 0. Just two minutes to go and India was still at 0. Ireland beat India 1 – 0.

Commonwealth Games 2018 – Indian Women Hockey Team Crush Malaysia 4 – 1

Indian women’s hockey team came up with a much improved performance on 2nd day of Commonwealth Games 2018 and crush Malaysia 4 -1. the Asian champions ensured their position back as they scored three goals in the second half to complete the tally. The Rani Rampal side had lost their group stage opener against Wales 2-3 on Thursday and needed full points from their second outing to stay in contention.
The Indians queens began on the front foot with Vandana Kataria bagging their first penalty corner in the very first minute and it looked like the Indians could register a big win, when Gurjit Kaur converted the third with a drag flick.
And it looked like the 2002 CWG gold medallists could once again pay for their profligacy when Nuraini Rashid found the equaliser through a penalty corner in the 38th minute.However, the Malaysians were still in celebration mode but the India launched a quick attack and Gurjit converted yet another penalty corner to restore the team’s advantage.
In the fourth quarter Indian Queens Vandana Kataria, Poonam Rani, Neha Goyal and Lilima Minz changes the side with launching attacks from both flanks. Goyal made a brilliant run from the right to dribble past two defenders and then passed the ball to an unmarked Rampal to tap the ball home in the 56th minute. After three minutes Lalremsiami rounded off the score with a quick one-two with Katariya one minute from time to also improve India’s goal difference.
