India Vs Korea

It was the Forth Match and India was looking to convert it into first Win in Olympics 2012 and having semi-finals out of the picture for Indian Boys, where as Korea was looking to make its semi-final entry chances more solid by winning this game.
Korea gets first penalty corner in 4th min and make no mistake in converting it to goal, but just after that in 6th min. Gurwinder Singh Chandi got success in scoring a field goal. Today Indian Boys were looking in better position as compared to previous games. Korea got two continues penalty corners (21^st and 23^rd min.) but not able to convert it.
Indian was making good defending today.
India Got First Penalty corner of the match on 30min of first half and was wasted but just after few mins when only 2 mins were pending India got 2 more continues penalty corners and all wasted..
First Half Goals:
05:37′                    IND 0 – 1 KOR JANG Jong Hyun (KOR) scores from a penalty corner
09:59′                    IND 1 – 1 KOR CHANDI Gurwinder Singh (IND) scores
And in second half both teams were struggling for goal and at last Korea got penalty corner in 57^th min and scored the goal and it was not end of pain for Indian fan when Korea scored another goal in 67^th min.
This was not the end… in last min and they scored it..
This is another crushing defeat for us…. its 1 – 4 to Korea.

67:40′                    IND 1 – 3 KOR LEE Seung Il (KOR) scores
Now blame game will start same thing that happens after every tournament.

Balbir Singh Sr. and Leslie Claudius, both part of Indian teams that won gold medals at three successive Olympic Games from 1948, will be among others who will be honoured at the function.
At 87 years of age, Balbir Singh is the oldest of the Indian Olympic gold medallists. Keshav Dutt, G. Nandy Singh, Jaswant Singh, Raghbir Lal and Haripal Kaushik have been part of two gold medal-winning teams.

Indian Hockey Team announced for France and Spain Tours

Hockey India has announced Changes in India Hockey team, Goalkeeper Bharat Chetri will be our new Captain. India is playing Four Nation Tournament in Santander, Spain between 14- 18 July 2012.

India Lost from Germany 1 – 2

Today India has shown much better game than last two but not able to win the match. Starting was good Indian Hockey Team was putting a great fight against Germans.
First goal was made by India; Shivendra Singh put ball in the goal by a good deflection.
But after some time Germany able to level the score, Chinglensana has an air shot after a great right wing cross from Sunil.
India fights back well Sreejesh has saved India a few times but at last in second half when only few mins are left Germany scores second goal and then never gives bal back to India.
It was a lost Game for India but I would say that India has performed very well this time and it will really help them Olympic games..

Indian Hockey Lose to Great Britain by 2-4
