If you are a hockey lover then your wait ends here, FIH(The International Hockey Federation) announced the Men Hockey world cup 2018 which is going to held in India between 28 November to 16 December.This prestigious event taking place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, India. Have a look at some important highlights of the Officials for Men Hockey World Cup 2018:
1. 19 countries from all five continents will participate. 25 Experts would be selected as the representative. FIH took a great step to enhance gender equality in all areas of sports so both women and men will undertake officiating roles at this prestigious event.
2. Germany’s Christian Deckenbrock has been appointed as Technical Delegate.
3. Seven Umpires have great experience of RIO 2016 Olympic Games and rest nine will have the opportunity of performing a great role in International Hockey. Martin Madden, Raghu Prasad,Javed Shaikh, Simon Taylor and Francisco Vazquez are some of the Golden Whistle umpires.
4. Odisha Men’s Hockey World League Final Bhubaneswar 2017’s technical Delegate Alfred Chang(HKG) will play his role with Bjorn Isberg and will support Christians.Edna Rutten (NED),Kays Kanyangara (ZIM), Reyah Richardson (TTO), Muneer Mohammed (IND) will play role as Technical Officers.
5. Diego Barbas (ARG),Adam Kearns (AUS),David Tomlinson (NZL),Gregory Uyttenhove (BEL),Ben Göntgen (GER),Marcin Grochal (POL),Dan Barstow (ENG) and Lim Hong Zhen (SGP) will also play important role.
6. Shuaib Manjra, has been appointed as the Medical Officer for this competition.Deon Nel from South Africa will play role of the Video Umpire Coach.
