The much-awaited Coal India Hockey India League 2016 will be inaugurated at the Kalinga Stadium here today at 6 pm. Chief Minister Odisha Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to inaugurate the tournament in the presence of Coal India officials.
The Kalinga Lancers will take on Uttar Pradesh (UP) Wizards in the opening match of the fourth edition of Hockey India League (HIL). Both teams are fully prepared for the match.
Hockey India League 2016 Starts Today
A total of six team team are participating in the tournament and the tournament will take place from 18th January to 21 January 2016.
The prizes for players has been doubled, the player of the tournament will get 50 lakhs which was 25 lakhs in the previous session.
