Jaypee Punjab Warriors made the ink on 4th Coal India Hockey India League Champion Trophy on their name. The Punjab was reaching finals but was not able to make victory from last two tournaments, but this time they locked the finals and registered victory on their name.

The final score in the end was 6-1 in the favor of Jaypee Piunjab Warriors due to their 3 field goals scored by Armaan Qureshi (4th minute), Matt Gohdes (39th) and Satbir Singh (42nd) for Punjab Warriors while Kalinga Lancers captain Moritz Fuerste was able to score a consolation goal as penalty corner conversion for Kalinga Lancers in the 24th minute.
Kalinga Lancers were locked by Jaypee Punjab Warriors in a very well planned way and not letting them score any goal however Kalinga Lancers captain Moritz Fuerste made a penalty corner conversion but that was nowhere against the 3 field goals made by Punjab players.
